When it comes to eating and drinking in the Cotswolds, you are really spoilt for choice. There is an abundance of pubs, restaurants and cafe's so you shouldn't have a problem finding one you like. The list below is just a small selection of some we have tried, and definitely worthy of your consideration. Of course, if you discover one that you like and is not on the list, please do let us know!
The Vestry Cafe

Converted chapel, great for a healthy lunch, eat in or sit outside. Best coffee around, vegetarian and vegan options.
Nympsfield, GL10 3UH
Fantastic setting with breathtaking views across the valley. Healthy local produce, pizza evenings Friday and Saturday, vegetarian and vegan options. Booking strongly recommended. (Closed Monday and Tuesday)
Mushroom Farm, Leathern Bottle, GL11 5JD
This place looks fab and has been recommended to us. Hand stretched pizza and anti pasti, to traditional Greek sweets and lamb souvlaki, bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to the local community. We haven't tried it yet, but will soon!
Upper Lock Cafe
They say: 'A beautiful canal side location close to the thriving vibrant Stroud town centre. Serving delicious food and drinks at a fair price by friendly happy staff.' We wouldn't disagree with that. Don't be put off by the website. It's a great cafe in our opinion.
The Falcon Steakhouse

A highly rated steakhouse in a local pub. We have enjoyed fantastic steaks an great service here. You will need to book well in advance, its popular!

Sitting half way between Stroud and Nailsworth, this 250 year-old former coaching inn, has plenty of rustic character and charm. Enjoy a relaxed and homely atmosphere and great food.

The best place to get a great ice cream! Perched on the edge of National Trust land Winstones can be found on Rodborough Common Near Stroud, surrounded by grazing cattle and rolling Cotswold hills.

Great for dinner we are told. lovely old Hunting Lodge sitting alone on the common. Offers lunch evening meals also a lovely garden.
