Yes. You can take a train to either Cam & Dursley or Stroud, then get a taxi. We recommend you pre-book a taxi if you are arriving at Cam & Dursley as it is a small rural station and typically there are no taxis waiting. If you are arriving in Stroud, finding a taxi should not be a problem. Alteratively, we may be able to meet you at the station, please contact us in advance to make arrangements.

Bristol (BRS) is the closest airport and has direct connections to most European countries. Cardiff airport is about 1 hour drive, Birmingham International (BRX) 1.5 hours and London Heathrow (LHR), 2 hours. We can arrange airport transfers for you on request.

Can we walk to Underbury from the Cotswold Way?

Yes, very easily! The Cotswold Way passes over Uley Bury and a 10 minute detour into the village is all it takes. In no time at all you will have had a shower, stripped off and jumped in the hot tub!

Do you have off-street parking

Yes! You can park on our private driveway close to the apartment. Please note that our drive is very steep and it is best if you reverse into the parking space infront of the garage after driving to the top. If your car has a manual gearbox, engage first gear!!

We are travelling in seperate cars, will there be enough parking?

Yes, there should be. We can provide one space at the top of our drive adjacent to the property and another at the bottom in our private layby on Whitecourt.

Hot Tub

Is there an extra charge to use the hot tub.

There is no extra charge for use of the hot tub it's all included with the accomodation and there is no need to book or reserve it.

Can we use the hot tub at any time?

The hot tub is available for your use at any time during your stay, except for the morning of your departure. You do not need to book or reserve it.

Do we have to reserve a time to use the hot tub.

No. The hot tub is available exclusively for your use at any time during your stay.

How do we know the water is clean and sanitary?

The hot tub is checked and cleaned every morning when the chemical balance of the water is tested, and adjusted if necessary. We use a bromine based sanitiser as it is generally odor free and kinder to you hair and skin than other santising chemicals such as chlorine. Please note that if you wear a swimsuit or any other clothing in the hot tub, soap residue from the washing process may cause the water to go cloudy and can even produce foam when the pump is running. It is for this reason that we encourage all of our guests to go nude in the tub, although of course you can wear a swimsuit if you prefer.

Nothing! Not only is the hot tub experience more enjoyable without a swimsuit, not wearing anything helps us keep the water safe and sparkling clean. Soap residue from swimwear and other clothing causes the water to go cloudy and can even produce foam when the pump is on. To counteract this, we have to add additional chemicals to the water.

Can we bring our children?

Sorry, the apartment is set-up for couples to have a comfortable and relaxing break, the property is is not suitable for children. However it is possible to accomodate babies, and we can provide a travel cot if needed. Unfortunately we cannot accomodate toddlers as there are multiple steps and hard surfaces in and around the property and the apartment has been furnished with adults in mind.

This is not Old Mother Hubbard's place! We try to make you stay as enjoyable and comfortble as possible. The kitchen is fully equipped for your self catering needs and we always include a few breakfast essentials, including tea, coffee, milk, orange juice etc. In the lounge, you will find a selection of books and magazines along some board games and DVD's. We also provide hand soap, shampoo and conditioner in case you forget to bring any.

Is there a TV?

Yes, there is a 32" Sony HD smart TV that is hooked up to the internet so that you can use your favourite streaming services such as iPlayer, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Netflix etc., but please note that you may need your own account and log-in details to watch some of these services. There is also a DVD player and a small collection of films for your enjoyment.
