There is no shortage of things to do in and around Uley, but just in case you need some help planning what to include in your itinerary, we have compiled a list of activities to suit a variety of tastes and budgets (many are free!). If you have never been up in a hot air balloon, you really should! Flights over Bristol, Bath and the Cotswolds are available from Bath Balloons, but will absolutely need to be booked well in advance, although occaisonally they have a few last minute places available.
The Cotswolds offer hundreds of miles of byways and bridleways where you can challenge yourself in some of Britains most beautiful countryside, or if you are looking for teh trail centre experience, we are not far from the Forest of Dean (see link below) and there is also the FlyUp 417 Bike Park (https://417bikepark.co.uk/) just south of Cheltenham if you are looking for a place to develop your gravity skills.
Walking, Hiking and the Cotswold Way
The Cotswolds are perfect for casual walks to serious hikes with hundreds of miles of footpaths and other rights of way to explore right from our doorstep with a variety of terrain to suit your tastes, and fitness! And don't forget, The Cotswold Way long distance path passes through the village making us a great base if you fancy attempting the entire 104 mile length.
Just 3 miles from Underbury, Cotswold Edge Golf Club is one of the most stunning picturesque golf clubs in the South West of England on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment with views over the historic wool market town of Wotton-Under-Edge to The Gloucestershire Severn Vale, The Brecon Becons, The Malvern Hills, Severn Bridges, Wales and beyond.
One of the most underatted motorcyling locations in England, the Cotswolds provides miles of twisting roads, breathtaking views and very little traffic. Base yourself at Underbury, then travel light, spending your days exploring, taking in the scenary and enjoying the local hospitality.
